Climate Care

The aim of this course is to encourage functions such as movement of the joints, flexibility, coordination, physical fitness, balance and strength. It should also improve your ability to absorb oxygen, give all-round physical training and increase your interest and prerequisites for moving your body. By learning to relax, you also get the chance to reduce tension and increase the rate of recovery. Even getting to sleep and sleeping are improved with this training. The target group is adults with inflammatory diseases of the joints and/or neurological illnesses that lead to functional restrictions in everyday life and in their ability to work. Even children and young people with inflammatory diseases of the joints can apply for rehabilitation. Apart from rheumatoid arthritis, the group also includes those with pelvospondylitis and psoriatic arthritis. Rehabilitation is carried out over 4 weeks. The programme takes place on weekdays with a fixed schedule.

Medical care is carried out via examinations by doctors and treatment staff.  A rehab team, composed of a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, a keep-fit leader, behavourist and nurse, works together under medical supervision. This team leads the course participants through the programme which consists of exercises, treatments and theoretical sessions.

Instruction takes place in the form of lectures. Individual rehabilitation plans with their goals are drawn up by the team in consultation with the guest. Follow-up of the course participants’ status and goals takes place during the programme and is done by the rehab team. Contacts with a doctor are available round the clock. There is also access to emergency treatment.
